Python 3 support -- roadmap?

Postby AlanObject » Mon May 11, 2015 9:10 pm

I am working in Python 3 (don't see the point of Python 2 for new projects) and I have noticed that the templates in NBPython are all Python 2-centric. No big deal really I can fix the code by hand.

However I notice that the debugger doesn't work since it is coded for Python 2. What is the roadmap for Python 3 support?

Python 3 is on our list of improvements. Due to the nature of our all-volunteer team, I can't give you a specific time-frame. But, be assured it's a fairly high-priority item for us, and one of our engineers in particular! Ref: Bug#229940 and Bug#186520
